33 round magazines

There's a strangeness to this subject of 33 round magazines to me.  I own some.  And today i loaded mine up with the usual ammo i keep in mine.  I was left thinking for only a brief moment that someone with the same items went and murdered a bunch of people.  Soon after this I was left wondering why I should really think of things this way.

There's a balance to note here, and a reminder.  Every time you handle / fire / carry / clean / load a firearm, you are always handling something that in someone else's hands is a force with which they can do very bad things.  This to me should be a reminder of the importance of respecting the responsibility of being a firearms owner.

But at the same time, do we have a moment of silence when we need to use a knife to cut a steak because many people have been killed with knives?  Do we have a moment of silence at baseball games because the main tool of that game has been used in so many beatings, murders, and racially loaded incidents?  Do we stop at our anniversary dinner with our spouse to mourn over all the people who have died by alcohol consumption or DUI when we responsibly enjoy a glass of wine?

Fuck that.  Good reality check.

The events were sad, but quit blaming an object.
